Sometimes we forget about simple pleasures. Watch a movie, take a walk, garden, journal, light a candle.

Do things by yourself that you usually don't, like going out to eat or being a tourist in your own city. If you've never done it before, it might take some courage, but many find it interesting and liberating.

Cultivate your authentic voice

To practice personal self-care, we have to have a strong sense of self and what matters most to us. What makes us feel most alive? What makes us happiest and brings us the most joy? Cultivating our personal identities and honoring our own authentic voices help us get more in touch with ourselves and do things we truly love. Personal self-care is about getting to know ourselves and doing things just for us.
