Grief

Candle

Grief and loss is an inevitable part of our present and future, and this is even more salient as we face the COVID-19 pandemic. We may be grieving lost experiences, loved ones, as well as "ambiguous losses" such as loss of safety, identity, or personal freedoms. Whatever the case - grieving and working through loss can be challenging and painful. It can also bring us meaning and help us cultivate compassion for ourselves and others.

Grief experts remind us that grief is natural and that it can help to "name and claim" the grief, and continue to facilitate social connection as we navigate the grief process.
